Plutellidae

Diamond-back Moth Plutella xylostella

This small micro moth has been quite a regular visitor to the garden over the years. As can be seen, it has quite a distinctive pattern. Forewing length 6 to 8.5mm.

The adult flies all year round, but can be quite frequent during the summer months, and can be seen in most situations. Widespread throughout. The larva feeds on cabbages and the like.
