Bordered Pug Eupithecia succenturiata

This is one of those unmistakable pugs with its white markings, and a fairly large one too with a wingspan of 20 to 23mm.

The adult flies July and August, and is seen in various suburban habitats, including gardens. The larva feeds on Mugwort.
