Dusky Sallow Eremobia ochroleuca ([Denis & Schiffermüller], 1775) 73.120 BF2352

Wingspan 34-37 mm. Forewing length 14-16mm. A very attractive and unmistakable moth.

Dusky Sallow Eremobia ochroleuca

The adult flies July and August, and it is found in grassy habitats. It is attracted to light and can be found feeding on flowers such as Knapweed and Ragwort during the day. Common and widespread in central, southern and eastern England. The larva feeds on various grasses.
